Avatar Veil Swarm & Sky Leech

Veil Swarm are bird-like creatures that fly in tight, unchanging swarms, using their large, efficient wings to glide on air currents effortlessly, even while sleeping, so they never land. Their wings have a protective carapace on one side and small holes on the other for feeding on airborne micro-organisms. These features enable their graceful flight. Young Na’vi on the Western Frontier play a game with Veil Swarm to practice flying their Ikran, trying to catch one of these birds by hand and then release it, testing their aerial agility and control.
Sky Leeches are airborne insects living at high altitudes, near unique natural structures like floating rocks and cliffs, where they form colonies. They have streamlined, muscular bodies for quick aerial maneuvers and brightly colored, fast-moving wings to swiftly pursue targets. In defense or while hunting, they attack in groups, using three hooked claws to sting and cut their prey. After weakening their target, they attach themselves to it and use their underbody mouth to draw blood.
