Akuma VS Onmyoji

A few years ago, I heard a Japanese song:春よ、来い. It gave me a lot of inspiration, so I decided to create an illustration in a Japanese style. I also wanted to use this as an opportunity to challenge myself with an unprecedented level of difficulty. At the time, my skills were not strong enough, and this artwork went through countless revisions and additions. I stuffed a large number of elements that I loved into the piece like samurai armor, onmyoji , kimono-clad dancers, and various depictions of life in ancient Japan, along with some fascinating animals. I even included a tribute to my beloved teacher, Kim Jung Gi, whose memory I hold dear..., and it truly took a long time to complete. There were countless moments when I wanted to give up, but I’m glad I held on and finished it in the end. Hope you love it!
